Strengthening Public Services, DKI Provincial Government Receives Award from Ministry of Home Affairs
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has once again achieved recognition by receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Local Government Performance from the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Home Affairs. The award was given based on the results of the 2025 Local Government Administration Evaluation (EPPD), in which the DKI Provincial Government scored 3.6762 and fell into the high performance category.
DKI Jakarta’s Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, stated that this achievement is the result of collective work by all Organisational Units for Regional Apparatus (OPD) within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. He emphasised the importance of maintaining consistent performance to sustain this achievement in the future.
“This is the result of joint work by all DKI Jakarta OPDs, so we can maintain this achievement. Hopefully, it can continue to be upheld in the coming years,” Rano said while receiving the award during the commemoration of the 30th Regional Autonomy Day in 2026 at the Ministry of Home Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Monday, 27 April 2026.
Rano also appreciated the Ministry of Home Affairs for the ongoing guidance provided to local governments. According to him, this award serves as motivation for the DKI Provincial Government to continue improving the quality of governance, public services, and the effectiveness of development programmes that directly impact the community.
“Going forward, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to maintain accountable, responsive governance performance that directly benefits residents, in line with the spirit of regional autonomy and the direction of national development,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto expressed appreciation to local leaders who have been able to deliver tangible performance through innovation and measurable achievements. He stressed that indicators such as economic growth, poverty reduction, and unemployment rates serve as concrete evidence of local government success.
According to Bima, regional autonomy is not just about the division of authority, but also the responsibility to provide optimal public services. He emphasised the importance of strengthening institutions and human resources at all levels of government.
“Regional autonomy must be accompanied by continuous efforts to strengthen institutions and human resources. Not only capable regional heads, but also the OPD ranks down to the sub-district and village levels,” he explained.
As part of commemorating the 30th Regional Autonomy Day in 2026, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also held a ceremony in the courtyard of the DKI Jakarta City Hall. The ceremony was led by the Secretary of the Region (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta, Uus Kuswanto, who read out the Minister of Home Affairs’ message.
In the message, it was conveyed that the theme of Regional Autonomy Day 2026, “With Regional Autonomy We Realise Asta Cita”, reflects the independence and responsibility of regions in optimally managing local potential, while maintaining synergy with the central government.
Going forward, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to continuing to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and cross-sectoral synergy to support equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development. The spirit of regional autonomy is expected to become the main driver in delivering increasingly quality public services to all residents.
