Strengthening Operations, BPR Lestari Across Java Undergoes Merger
BPR Lestari Group has taken a strategic step to strengthen its business network through the merger of six of its entities located on Java island into PT BPR Lestari Banten as the surviving entity on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. This strategic initiative is part of BPR Lestari Group’s journey to build a stronger and more integrated national-scale BPR network.
The BPRs involved in this merger process include BPR Lestari Jatim, BPR Lestari Jabar, BPR Lestari Jateng, BPR Lestari Jakarta, and BPR Lestari Yogyakarta. Through this merger, BPR Lestari Banten will become the main entity operating the BPR Lestari network in the Java region with an increasingly broad service coverage.
With total assets of around Rp1.535 trillion, it becomes one of the BPRs with significant asset scale at the national level. With stronger capacity, BPR Lestari Banten is expected to be able to expand its contribution in providing financial services to the community as well as supporting the growth of the business sector, especially in cities and regencies on Java island.
The President Director of BPR Lestari Banten, Ika Norma Ningrum, commonly known as Ika, stated that this merger step is part of the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen the business foundation while increasing the competitiveness of the BPR industry amid the dynamics of transformation in the financial sector.
“This merger is a strategic step to strengthen the banking structure, improve operational efficiency, and expand service reach to the community. With this merger, we hope to present a more solid, modern BPR institution capable of meeting customer needs in various regions,” said Ika in an official statement on Tuesday (31/3).
As the surviving entity of the merger, BPR Lestari Banten will have cross-provincial operational reach stretching from Anyer in West Java to Panarukan in East Java. This broader regional coverage provides opportunities for BPR Lestari Banten to deliver increasingly inclusive banking services close to the needs of communities in various areas.
