Strengthening Industry-Adaptive Curriculum, Cyber University Conducts Benchmarking at Telkom University
The Information Technology (IT) study programme of Cyber University held a benchmarking activity at the IT study programme of Telkom University, Bandung, on Thursday (27/08/2026). This strategic step was taken to strengthen and implement curriculum development that is adaptive to the rapid dynamics of technology and the needs of the industrial and professional worlds.
The meeting, held at the Telkom University campus, was attended by leadership teams and curriculum development teams from both institutions. The Cyber University delegation was led by Vice Rector Dr Agus Trihandoyo, accompanied by the Head of the IT Study Programme at Cyber University, Dicky Hariyanto, and the curriculum development faculty team.
They were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics at Telkom University, Kemas Muslim Lhaksmana, the Vice Dean for Academic and Research Support, Tjokorda Agung Budi Wirayuda, the Head of the IT Study Programme, Aji Gautama Putrada, and the Telkom University academic team.
Kemas emphasised the importance of synergy and collaboration between tertiary institutions, particularly in the highly dynamic discipline of information technology.
“Collaboration and the exchange of experience between higher education institutions are crucial, especially in responding to changing educational needs in the field of information technology,” Kembar stated in a press release on Sunday (30/08/2026).
The Vice Rector of Cyber University, Agus Trihandoyo, asserted that this visit serves as an important instrument for Cyber University, as a ‘Shaping Future Digital Leader’, to absorb best practices in modern higher education management.
“This benchmarking activity is our strategic means to gain insights and best practices in managing and developing a curriculum that is relevant to the digital era,” said Agus.
During the core agenda, the curriculum development teams from both universities engaged in interactive discussion sessions. The discussions focused on several key aspects, ranging from the mechanics of curriculum design and implementation and the alignment of graduate competencies with labour market demands, to methods for continuous improvement of learning quality.
The Head of the IT Study Programme at Cyber University, Dicky Hariyanto, noted that through this activity, the programme is optimistic about refining its curriculum structure to be more relevant to the demands of the digital transformation era.
“This synergy is also expected to serve as a foundation for Cyber University in producing highly competitive, competent graduates who are ready to adapt within the global industrial landscape,” he added.
