Strengthening human resources (HR) is one of the main focuses at the XXI Muktamar of Mathla’ul Anwar, taking place from 11 to 13 April 2026 in Serang, Banten. This issue has emerged alongside rising global challenges, from technological disruptions and social changes to economic dynamics that demand greater adaptability from individuals and institutions.

In the forum, the religious organisation is seen as needing to bolster the quality of its cadres, not only in religious aspects but also in education, skills, and competitiveness. The elected General Chairman of PBMA, KH Jazuli Juwaini, described HR strengthening as a top priority in facing these challenges. “Strengthening HR is the primary priority. Mathla’ul Anwar must be able to produce outstanding generations that are not only strong at the national level but also capable of competing globally,” he stated.

In addition to HR, the muktamar also highlighted the importance of improving organisational governance to make it more effective. A professional approach, including the formulation of capacity- and responsibility-based structures, is considered a future need. Jazuli also affirmed that the three main fields of the organisation—education, da’wah, and social—will remain the focus of the movement.

“The three missions—education, da’wah, and social—will we solidify as the organisation’s main strength in delivering real benefits to society,” he said.

The muktamar forum also emphasised the importance of cross-sector collaboration in addressing increasingly complex issues faced by the ummah. “Global uncertainty cannot be resolved by one party alone. Synergy is the key,” Jazuli stated.

This XXI Muktamar also discussed institutional strengthening, cadre development, as well as responses to digital and socio-economic developments. In addition, the forum established new leadership for the 2026–2031 period as part of the organisational mechanism. Chairman of the XXI Muktamar Organising Committee, Asep Rohmatullah, stated that all event series ran according to plan. “All stages of the Muktamar proceeded orderly and were completed well through communication and coordination,” he said.
