Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - AMD’s Commercial Lead for Indonesia, Brando Lubis, has openly discussed the potential for developing Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) amid the increasing use of technology, particularly related to artificial intelligence (AI).

He stated that, as a semiconductor company, AMD will continue to develop GPUs that operate across numerous technologies. For example, from supercomputers to AI PCs.

With extensive experience, AMD is currently recognised as one of the companies capable of delivering high-performance computing solutions. AMD is also continuously developing GPUs that can support various AI models.

“We are one of the two vendors providing AI GPU technology in the market and the last in AI PCs themselves. If you say AMD is in almost every industry,” Brando explained at the Tech & Telco Forum themed “Building a Safer Digital Nation: From Connectivity to Cyber Resilience” at the Bank Mega building in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Therefore, amid the growing demand for modern AI-based computing, AMD is ready to collaborate with various brands to deliver the best processors for segments ranging from cloud and enterprise to gaming and laptops with AI technology.

“The technology developed by AMD is the best choice currently. We have an open ecosystem; we are open to all brands collaborating with our GPU technology,” he said.
