Strengthening Good Corporate Governance as a Strategy to Tackle Dynamics in the Construction Industry

PT PP (Persero) Tbk has strengthened the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a pillar of business sustainability. Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said that good corporate governance is a strategic foundation for maintaining healthy, accountable, and sustainable growth amid the increasingly complex dynamics of the construction industry.

‘PTPP continues to optimise various governance instruments, including the Whistleblowing System (WBS), to ensure that a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance is consistently applied across all lines of the organisation,’ Joko said in a written statement quoted on Wednesday (4/3/2026).

Joko assessed that strengthening the reporting system is part of the company’s commitment to building a professional and ethical working environment. He stated that the application of GCG is not merely regulatory compliance, but a long-term strategy to safeguard the reputation and trust of stakeholders.

‘For PTPP, good corporate governance is the foundation for conducting business in a responsible manner,’ continued Joko.

He ensured that every business process is conducted with principles of transparency, accountability, and strong integrity to support the company’s sustainability. He said the company’s consistency in applying GCG has also received various accolades from independent bodies, including awards from the Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) and recognition for openness of information and compliance as a listed company by the BEI.

‘These awards validate the company’s commitment to the principles of transparency, accountability, independence, and fairness,’ Joko said.

With a portfolio of national strategic projects and a broad business scope, Joko added, PTPP places GCG as an integral part of its long-term business strategy. He believes the culture of integrity and disciplined governance will strengthen competitiveness while creating sustainable added value for all stakeholders.
