Strengthening the digital financing ecosystem requires collaboration between fintech lending or online loan (Pindar) providers, banks, regulators, and business actors. Synergy among these players is considered capable of expanding access to funding while improving the efficiency of financing distribution.

This issue was one of the topics discussed at Fintech Lending Days 2026, organised by the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) on 21 August 2026 at the Bali Sunset Road Convention Centre, Bali. Carrying the theme ‘Advancing Indonesia’s Digital Financing Ecosystem’, the event brought together regulators, government, banks, Pindar providers, investors, associations, business actors, media, and strategic partners.

One of the discussions highlighted opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Pindar and regional banking institutions. The collaboration is considered capable of combining the digital technology capabilities of Pindar with the networks and market understanding possessed by financial institutions in various regions.

Adapundi Head of Risk & Product Aristama Budiono said that sustainable growth of the digital financing industry cannot depend on a single platform or business actor. According to him, synergy among industry players is needed to build a stronger financing ecosystem.

‘Sustainable industry growth cannot be achieved by one platform or one party alone. Collaboration and synergy among industry players are needed to create an ecosystem that is increasingly strong and supports sustainable business growth,’ said Aristama at the Banking Partnership Forum titled ‘Strengthening Collaboration Between Pindar and Regional Banking Ecosystem’.

In the forum, Aristama mentioned loan channeling as one of the relevant partnership schemes to be developed. This scheme enables collaboration between Pindar providers and financial institutions in financing distribution by utilising each party’s capabilities.

‘Loan channeling is one of the relevant collaboration models at present. With the system and infrastructure readiness that Adapundi possesses, we continue to open collaboration opportunities in line with ecosystem developments,’ he said.

According to Aristama, Pindar has technological capabilities that can support digital funding processes, while regional financial institutions have networks and an understanding of market characteristics in their respective regions. The combination of these two capabilities has the potential to improve efficiency while expanding the reach of financing services.

However, the expansion of such partnerships still needs to be accompanied by adequate governance and risk management. According to Aristama, regulators have an important role in ensuring that industry development and innovation continue to proceed in accordance with regulations.

‘OJK as the regulator has an important role in maintaining and supervising industry development. On the other hand, industry players still have room to grow and innovate, while continuing to refer to applicable provisions and regulatory corridors,’ he said.

The importance of risk management is also in line with AFPI’s attention to the implementation of responsible lending. The rapid development of the Pindar industry is considered to need to be balanced with responsible lending practices, transparency, governance, and consumer protection.

Fintech Lending Days 2026 was also attended by a number of stakeholders, including Bali Governor Wayan Koster, Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of MSMEs Riza Damanik, Chairman of Commission XI of the House of Representatives Mukhamad Misbakhun, Chief Executive of Supervision of Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions at OJK Agusman, as well as AFPI Chairman Entjik S Djafar.

In addition to discussion forums, the event also included strategic forums, business matching, networking sessions, and an industry showcase. Adapundi also opened an interactive booth that served as a space for interaction with participants, including MSME actors and local Balinese communities from various business sectors.

This interaction became an opportunity to discuss business developments, business challenges at the local level, and the financing needs faced by business actors. The use of digital financing itself is considered to be one of the enablers for MSMEs in developing business capacity and increasing business scale.

For the Pindar industry, meetings with regulators, banks, business actors, and communities also open up opportunities for developing partnerships beyond the aspect of financing distribution. Collaboration can be directed at combining technology, funding capacity, and understanding of market characteristics.

The involvement of various parties in Fintech Lending Days 2026 shows that the development of digital financing is not only related to platform growth, but also to building an ecosystem involving many stakeholders.

Going forward, strengthening collaboration between Pindar and financial institutions is one of the areas that can be developed to improve the efficiency of financing processes, expand access to financial services, and support sustainable business growth.
