Strengthening Connectivity, Kemayoran Management Centre Prepares Internal Shuttle Bus
The Pusat Pengelolaan Komplek Kemayoran (PPK Kemayoran) is preparing a smart and connected living concept as part of the business district transformation in Central Jakarta. One key element is the provision of an internal shuttle bus that will connect various points within the area to improve mobility efficiency and inter-area connectivity.
This step forms part of the development of the approximately 450-hectare Kemayoran area, now directed as a new economic growth centre in the capital. In addition to integrating business, residential, and lifestyle functions, the area still offers substantial development space amid increasingly limited land in several premium Jakarta districts.
PPK Kemayoran CEO Teddy Robinson Siahaan stated that Kemayoran has a strong foundation to develop into a new business district in Jakarta.
According to Teddy, strengthening connectivity and the integrated area concept are crucial factors in enhancing Kemayoran’s competitiveness amid competition from premium districts in Jakarta.
“With the integrated concept, strengthened connectivity, and support from developed facilities, we are optimistic that Kemayoran can become a new premium district on par with other leading areas in Jakarta,” he added.
Currently, the Kemayoran area is equipped with several main facilities, from an international-standard golf course, modern apartments, office areas, hotels, restaurants, to the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO), which is one of Indonesia’s largest centres for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) industry.
Exhibition activities and international events at JIEXPO also create significant economic movement in the area. The presence of Wisma Atlet further strengthens the area’s integrated ecosystem between residential and commercial functions.
PPK Kemayoran is also continuously enhancing the quality of area management through improved security systems, integrated surveillance, and consistent environmental and cleanliness arrangements.
Amid the density of Central Jakarta, Kemayoran maintains green spaces as part of sustainable area development. Tree landscapes and open spaces are seen as added value for creating a healthier and more comfortable urban environment.
