Strengthening Collaboration, Central Java and Aceh Sign Rp 1.06 Trillion Economic Cooperation Agreement
The cooperation agreement was signed by Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi and Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf at the Aceh Governor’s Office yesterday.
“We are undertaking business-to-business (B2B) cooperation starting from regional government organisations (OPD), regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), as well as Hipmi and Kadin. The value is around Rp 1.06 trillion. This serves as an initial potential for us to develop in each region,” said Luthfi in his statement on Friday (24/4/2026).
The agreement covers cooperation between regional government organisations (OPD) of Central Java Province and Aceh Province worth Rp 138.56 billion. This cooperation consists of the Food Security Agency, Investment and One-Stop Service Agency (DPMPTSP), Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag), Labour and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans), and Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf).
Next, cooperation between Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of Central Java and Aceh worth Rp 696.2 billion. This includes PT JTAB and PT JPEN with PT Pembangunan Aceh (Pema), as well as Bank Jateng with Bank Syariah Aceh.
Then there is cooperation between associations such as Kadin Central Java and Hipmi Central Java with Kadin Aceh and Hipmi Aceh worth Rp 230 billion. Finally, inter-district cooperation, namely Klaten with Gayo Lues in the fields of tourism, culture, and industry worth Rp 1 billion.
Luthfi stated that the inter-provincial cooperation is part of the collaborative government scheme. Thus, one region can complement another so that they can advance and grow together. In addition, this cooperation also serves as an effort to create new economies in each region.
Meanwhile, Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf said that Central Java is one of the provinces with a large population. He assessed Luthfi as a leader who can coordinate his apparatus well, from top to bottom levels.
Muzakir hopes that the cooperation between Aceh Province and Central Java Province can drive development in both regions.
“We hope this provides more motivation for us to build Aceh. Later, we will communicate more often regarding trade aspects and state apparatus aspects,” he concluded.
