RAMADAN serves as a momentum to strengthen care and togetherness, complementing the fasting worship through various acts of goodness. This spirit is reflected in the collaboration between Mondelez Indonesia and the Indonesian Ulema Council’s Wakaf Institution (LW MUI) through the Mondelez Berbagi Kebaikan programme.

This collaboration is realised through the distribution of iftar packages and Mondelez products at several mosques, office locations, and various strategic points in South Jakarta for the surrounding community.

Marfusita Hamburgiwati, Country Lead of Corporate & Government Affairs at Mondelez Indonesia, stated that this initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to deliver real impact for society, especially during the Ramadan month rich in values of togetherness and care.

“We believe that real impact arises from simple steps taken consistently. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure that every initiative provides benefits directly felt by the community,” said Marfusita.

In its implementation, Mondelez Indonesia, together with LW MUI, distributed 2,000 iftar packages also containing various flagship Mondelez Indonesia products as complements to the breaking of the fast. The distribution was carried out gradually at several mosques in the Jakarta area and surroundings, including Masjid Nurul Amal Cikokol, Masjid Raya Al Amanah Jelambar, Masjid Al Akbar Cikini, Masjid Cut Meutia Menteng, Masjid Al Azhar Kebayoran Baru, Masjid Al Mansur Tambora, Masjid Nurul Huda Jembatan Besi, and Masjid Al Hurriyah Kembangan.

In addition to mosques, one of Mondelez Indonesia’s biscuit brands, Oreo, also distributed iftar packages around office locations in South Jakarta for the surrounding community.

Andi Yudi Hendriawan, Secretary of LW MUI, stated that this collaboration reaffirms the importance of togetherness in bringing benefits to society, especially in the month of Ramadan which serves as a space to expand care and sharing with others.

“We hope this initiative not only provides benefits but also inspires more parties to contribute to creating positive impacts for society,” said Andi.

In addition to the Mondelez Berbagi initiative, Mondelez Indonesia consistently runs various initiatives that focus not only on products but also on education and community empowerment.

This commitment is strengthened through various social and educational initiatives, including the Ngemil Bijak campaign which encourages the public to snack more wisely, especially amid changes in consumption patterns during Ramadan, to continue providing positive benefits for body and mind.

“We hope this initiative can become part of Mondelez Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to deliver consistent social contributions,” she concluded.
