The State-Owned Enterprise Agency (BP BUMN) aims to restructure the corporate structure of PT Pelindo (Persero) through a streamlining programme designed to strengthen its business model and clarify the role of every entity within the Pelindo Group.

The Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that Pelindo’s transformation will be a long-term process. This step begins with the simplification of the entity structure before proceeding to the restructuring of the business model.

“This transformation is still a long journey, but it begins with streamlining first, after which we will enter the process of properly arranging our business model,” said Dony, quoting the official BP BUMN Instagram, Wednesday (30/09/2026).

Under the 2026 streamlining programme, Pelindo targets reducing the number of entities from 41 to 24. Of the 17 entities included in the restructuring programme, 11 have completed their corporate actions, while the remaining six are targeted for completion by 31 December 2026.

The restructuring is being carried out through various schemes, including mergers, consolidations, divestments, and liquidations.

In addition to simplifying the number of entities, Pelindo is also changing its parenting model from a strategic holding approach to active management.

Through this model, Pelindo will take a more direct role in managing core operational activities, with a clearer division of roles between the holding company, regional offices, service lines, and business entities.

Dony believes that this transformation can be implemented more integrally through consolidation under Danantara.

“The choice to undergo this transformation is very appropriate. Now, with the consolidation under Danantara, everything becomes possible to achieve,” he remarked.

The restructuring is expected not to stop at reducing the number of entities, but to continue towards forming a Pelindo structure and business model that is simpler, more effective, and capable of strengthening the overall performance of the group.
