Strengthening Bonds and Empowering Pensioner Customers, Bank Mandiri Taspen Holds Ramadan Safari
Bank Mandiri Taspen has relaunched its Ramadan Safari 2026 series as an effort to strengthen community bonds whilst sharing with the public, particularly pensioner customers. The activity, which carries the theme “In Unity, Blessing Grows,” is filled with various social activities, assistance programmes, and customer empowerment initiatives.
The Ramadan Safari event held at Bank Mandiri Taspen’s Pekanbaru Branch Office was attended directly by Chief Executive Panji Irawan alongside management and pensioner customers. In his remarks, Panji stated that Ramadan is an important moment for the company to strengthen social concern amidst busy business activities.
According to him, in daily work life, companies are often preoccupied with business targets, reports, and corporate strategy. However, Ramadan reminds that life is not only about achievements, but also about sharing with others.
“Sharing with others, particularly with orphaned children, is not merely part of the event, but rather a manifestation of our gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us,” said Panji in his remarks on Saturday (7 March).
Panji emphasised that the values of unity and social concern are an important part of the working culture at Bank Mandiri Taspen. This also aligns with the company’s vision to continue strengthening its role as a financial institution focused on serving the elderly or senior citizen community in Indonesia.
“We have a great objective to continue strengthening our position as a leader in serving the senior citizen community in Indonesia. This objective is not only achieved through sound business strategy, but also through the values we uphold in our work,” said Panji.
He explained that these values are reflected in the company’s working culture called The Mantap Ways, which emphasises the importance of integrity, meticulousness in work, courage to innovate, and collaboration to deliver the best service to customers.
“Work with integrity, think smartly and in detail, dare to innovate, collaborate for the best results, and always place customers as the top priority,” said Panji.
ASSISTANCE PROVISION
Beyond the joint breaking of fast activity, the event also included assistance provision to children from the Rahmat Nur Hidayah Orphanage. On this occasion, Panji also provided motivation to the orphanage children to continue working enthusiastically to achieve their future.
“My children, the future is not determined by where we start, but by how earnestly we strive. There is a very famous saying, man jadda wajada, whoever is determined will succeed,” said Panji.
He encouraged the children to continue learning, developing skills, and harbouring big dreams in order to achieve a better future.
“Study diligently, build skills, and nurture big dreams. Who knows, in the future some may become doctors, entrepreneurs, or great leaders who bring benefit to society,” he said.
On a national scale, in the context of the 2026 Ramadan Safari series, Bank Mandiri Taspen distributed approximately 15,000 relief packages distributed through branch offices in various regions across Indonesia.
This sharing programme is a tradition the company has implemented every year as part of social activities during the month of Ramadan.
Beyond Pekanbaru, joint breaking of fast events were also held in several other cities such as Palembang and Purwokerto. In these three cities, the event was also attended by the Chief Executive and executive officials of Bank Mandiri Taspen.
COOKING CLUB
The Ramadan Safari event was also enlivened by the Mantap Cooking Club (MCC) activity involving pensioner customers. In this activity, participants together with the board of directors attended a joint cooking session with chefs from Sasa and Bola Deli, which are partners in this programme. After cooking together, participants then enjoyed the dishes they had prepared in an atmosphere of togetherness.
The Mantap Cooking Club is part of the Mantap Aktif programme, one of the main pillars of Bank Mandiri Taspen’s services for pensioner customers. This programme is designed to provide positive activities while opening business opportunities for retirees.
Through this activity, participants receive culinary training that covers various aspects, from business opportunity analysis to cooking demonstrations. To date, 875 Mantap Cooking Club activities have been recorded, both offline and online.
This programme is expected to provide business inspiration for customers interested in the culinary field so they remain productive after entering retirement.
Overall, the Mantap Aktif programme has recorded more than 913 activities involving more than 45,000 pensioner customers throughout Indonesia.
IMPLEMENTATION OF MANTAP PILLARS
Bank Mandiri Taspen Corporate Secretary Tulus Hutabarat stated that the Ramadan Safari activity is not only an occasion for joint breaking of fast, but also part of the implementation of the Three Mantap Pillars programme run by the company.
According to him, the programme includes the Mantap Aktif, Mantap Sehat, and Mantap Sejahtera pillars which aim to improve the quality of life of pensioner customers.
“Through the Mantap Aktif pillar, Bank Mandiri Taspen consistently presents various activities that support the social and religious activities of its pensioner customers,” said Tulus.
He added that customer participation in various programmes continues to increase every year. This demonstrates that the activities conducted by the company provide tangible benefits for retirees.
Beyond social activities and economic empowerment, Bank Mandiri Taspen also encourages improvements in the health quality of its customers.
