Strengthen Synergy, Metro Jaya Police Hold Breaking Fast with Ride-hailing Drivers
The Director of Community Guidance at Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Harri Muharram Firmansyah, explained that the event served as a forum for building social ties between law enforcement and ride-hailing drivers who work daily on the streets and engage directly with public service dynamics.
“Through this activity, Metro Jaya Police reaffirms its commitment to being present not only in law enforcement, but also in building communication, empathy, and solidarity with the community,” he said.
Firmansyah also conveyed that the joint breaking of the fast represented part of the National Police’s (Polri) effort to maintain social closeness and strengthen synergy in preserving security and public order.
“We want to ensure that Polri is present with a humanistic approach. Breaking fast together is not merely a ceremonial activity, but an opportunity to strengthen social ties and build trust,” he stated.
He urged drivers to prioritise safety, maintain traffic ethics, and actively share information should they identify potential security disturbances in their surroundings.
Firmansyah also expressed hope that this collective action would strengthen the spirit of mutual care during Ramadhan and foster social responsibility.
“Members of the public requiring police assistance are urged to contact the Call Centre 110, so that services can be provided quickly, accurately, and professionally,” he concluded.
