Bogor - Mayor of Bogor Dedie A. Rachim has outlined the next phase of organising street vendors (PKL) in the Bogor Tengah sub-district. He explained that the regulation will target several road sections, namely Jalan MA Salmun, Jalan Dewi Sartika, and Jalan Sawojajar. The vendors will subsequently be relocated to the Nyi Raja Permas area using hangar facilities. Dedie stated that the culinary centre will be concentrated in Blok F as well as the area beside Masjid Agung Bogor. “The plan is to accommodate all the vendors in Nyi Raja Permas with hangars, so all PKL, whether fruit, vegetable, or flower sellers, will be behind Propindo,” said Dedie at the Bogor Market area on Wednesday (25/3/2026). “As for the culinary ones, they will be beside Blok F and beside Masjid Agung Bogor,” he continued. However, Dedie acknowledged that his side has not yet conducted intensive communication with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI). In addition, the Bogor City Government is studying proposals for building a pedestrian bridge (JPO) as well as a two-wheeled vehicle lane. “We haven’t been intensive yet, but we must prepare. What is certain is that we are also proposing something like a pedestrian and motorcycle bridge,” he said. Nevertheless, Dedie did not elaborate further on the technical implementation of the organisation plan. The government has also prepared two relocation sites, namely Pasar Gembrong in Sukasari and Pasar Jambu Dua. Dedie emphasised that in the future, PKL activities will no longer be allowed to trade on street stalls. He stated that the regulation is carried out in accordance with the agreement with the vendors who have committed to stopping activities in that area after Eid. The regulation will cover several roads around Bogor Market, such as Jalan Roda, Jalan Pedati, Jalan Bata, and Jalan Lawang Seketeng. Nevertheless, buying and selling activities are still permitted inside official kiosks as long as they do not disrupt pedestrian paths.
