West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has once again made a breakthrough in motor vehicle tax payments. This time, owners of yellow-plated vehicles, including public passenger and goods transport, are granted facilitations. The West Java Provincial Government is providing ease in motor vehicle tax payments. Taxpayers are no longer required to bring additional documents such as company referral letters, business identification numbers (NIB), or company tax IDs (NPWP). The policy is contained in the Governor of West Java’s Decree No. 973/Kep.189-Bapenda/2026 regarding the exemption of administrative requirements in providing tax incentives for motor vehicles and motor vehicle stamp duty for public transport of people and goods. “Now it’s simpler. No need to bring company referral letters or other business documents,” said the governor, familiarly known as KDM, on Monday (27/4/2026). He explained that taxpayers only need to bring the original STNK and the vehicle owner’s KTP to make payments directly at the main Samsat office. “Just the original STNK and KTP, you can pay directly at the main Samsat office,” he said.
