Streamlined Licensing Drives South Lampung to Record Over Rp3 Trillion in Investment in 2025
SMARTNEWS.ID – Investment in South Lampung Regency in 2025 has exceeded the set target. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, the value of investment reached Rp3.04 trillion, or 115 per cent of the Rp2.64 trillion target.
This achievement is concrete proof of the commitment of the Regent of South Lampung, Radityo Egi Pratama, together with the Vice Regent, M. Syaiful Anwar, in creating a conducive investment climate through the facilitation of business licensing in Bumi Khagom Mufakat.
Based on data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, published on the official website data.bkpm.go.id, the 2025 investment target for South Lampung Regency of Rp2.64 trillion was exceeded, with a realised value of Rp3.04 trillion.
The Head of the Department of Investment and Integrated One-Stop Licensing Services (DPMPPTSP) of South Lampung Regency, Rio Gismara, stated that this achievement shows a positive trend in regional investment growth.
“The 2025 investment target was Rp2.64 trillion, and the realised value reached Rp3.04 trillion, or 115 per cent above target,” said Rio Gismara when confirmed on Monday (23 February 2026).
According to Rio, Regent Radityo Egi Pratama’s commitment to simplifying and accelerating the licensing process is a major factor in increasing investor interest in investing in South Lampung.
He explained that investment promotion is also being carried out actively with a proactive approach, including introducing the region’s potential to national investors. The main focus is on developing the city of Kalianda and its surroundings as the face of the regency capital, which will be developed into a premium tourist area.
“The focus in 2026 remains on the tourism sector to develop the city of Kalianda and its surroundings as the face of the capital and to brand it as a premium tourist area,” said Rio.
Sectorally, the 2025 investment realisation was dominated by the electricity, gas and water sectors, the food industry, and trade and repair services. In addition, the potential of the processing industry and the hospitality sector is also being continuously promoted in accordance with the characteristics of the region.
With this achievement, South Lampung Regency is recorded as the regency with the highest investment realisation in Lampung Province in 2025, although it is still below the city of Bandar Lampung, which recorded an investment value of Rp3.835 trillion.
The 2025 investment realisation also had an impact on the absorption of labour, creating 4,209 jobs. This increase in investment not only encourages regional economic growth but also contributes directly to job creation and improving the welfare of the community.
In the future, the South Lampung Regency Government is targeting an improvement in the quality of investment, which is not only focused on the nominal value but also on the economic impact, job creation, and strengthening the region’s leading sectors, including the development of agro-tourism as a priority programme for the regional head.
