Strategies of SOE Regulatory Agency and Danantara to Boost MIND ID Effectiveness
The State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), in collaboration with Danantara, is accelerating steps to reorganise the organisational and business structure of MIND ID. This move is intended to strengthen the effectiveness of the state mining industry holding company in executing its strategic mandate for national downstreaming. This was stated by the Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, during a meeting with the President Director of MIND ID, Maroef Sjamsoeddin, in Jakarta.
“This restructuring is directed towards ensuring that company operations become more focused, efficient, and integrated, while being capable of meeting the future transformation needs of the mineral and coal industries,” Dony said in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (27/05/2026).
Dony noted that the meeting highlighted efforts towards business consolidation, simplification of organisational structures, and the strengthening of corporate governance to enhance the competitiveness of the national mining industry. In these discussions, Dony viewed organisational restructuring as a vital foundation for MIND ID to become more adaptive in managing the entire mineral industry supply chain, ranging from natural resource management to the development of high-value-added downstream industries.
“This step is also considered essential to strengthen synergy between business entities under the holding, ensuring that business decision-making can proceed more rapidly and measurably,” Dony added.
He assessed that the organisational and business restructuring is a crucial step to ensure the national mining industry transformation proceeds more effectively and can provide greater added value to the state. Dony expressed hope that business consolidation within the MIND ID environment would create operational efficiencies, strengthen the integration of the mining industry ecosystem, and increase investment capacity for national strategic projects.
