Strange but true

From Koran Tempo

By the time President Megawati visited the National Tabulation Center for the 2004 general election at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, on April 7, the vote gain of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) had risen drastically from 4.9 million votes at 1 p.m. to 18.2 million at 1:40 p.m.

Peculiarities have been a common phenomenon in the Indonesian government, while something that proceeds normally may even seem strange to certain officials.

Similarly, that some officials used forged diplomas, and unusually lenient verdicts were handed down to corruptors is seen as commonplace, requiring no argument.

So, let us now make as many "strange but true" reports as possible and send them to our government leaders, in order to make them aware that the "common" practices (corruption, collusion, nepotism, manipulation, empty promises, etc.) have produced devastating effects beyond our expectations.
