The Purwojaya train from Gambir to Cilacap was held at Jatinegara Station for two hours following an accident between a Commuter Line electric train and a long-distance diesel train at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi City. Through the public address system, staff offered passengers the option of a ticket refund if they wished to cancel their trip. The Purwojaya train has been stationary at Jatinegara Station since 9:15 PM WIB. As of 11:32 PM WIB, the train remained delayed with no confirmed departure information. Therefore, staff informed passengers of a 100% ticket refund for those cancelling their journey. Tickets can be refunded at major stations within a maximum of seven days. “Tickets can be refunded within seven days from the departure date, at Jatinegara, Pasar Senen, or Bekasi stations, for the inconvenience caused. We apologise profusely,” said the staff via the public address system. Observations at Jatinegara Station showed some Purwojaya passengers leaving the platform occasionally to ask staff about departure information. Others stayed inside the train waiting for departure. Meanwhile, the Commuter Line track towards Bekasi has started to operate gradually. However, trains sometimes stop to wait in queue.
