Strained relations with Allegri cast doubt on Ibrahimovic's and Furlani's futures
AC Milan faces uncertainty over the futures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giorgio Furlani after reports of strained relations with coach Massimiliano Allegri. The report from Gazzetta dello Sport also states that Adriano Galliani could return to San Siro. AC Milan will evaluate the club’s internal structure after the season ends, in line with confirmations from the club’s owner Gerry Cardinale last week. Gazzetta states that coach Massimiliano Allegri does not have a harmonious relationship with the club’s senior adviser Ibrahimovic and CEO Furlani. Ibrahimovic acted as a bridge between the owner and the management team, providing strategic input and acting as a technical consultant, particularly on the transfer market and squad evaluation. Some sources in Italy, including Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, say that this poor relationship makes the futures of Ibra and Furlani uncertain. Meanwhile, Furlani appeared alongside Cardinale and sporting director Igli Tare. Tare himself is expected to leave Milan after just one year in San Siro. Gazzetta also adds that Furlani may choose to leave Milan voluntarily, opening the door for Galliani to return to San Siro. Galliani previously recruited Allegri for the manager’s first spell at Milan in 2010 and was one of the key figures behind the Rossoneri’s great success during the Berlusconi era.
