STPDN graduate injured in brawl
BANDUNG, West Java: Two students and a security guard of the
state-run School for Home Administration (STPDN) in Jatinangor,
West Java, were injured in an alleged brawl at their campus
Friday.
The institute's graduate Doni Suhendra, his junior Supiansuri
and Rusmani are receiving medical treatment at the Al-Islam
hospital in Bandung, Antara reported.
Rusmani said yesterday the brawl broke out just six hours
before Minister of Home Affairs Moch. Yogie S.M. inaugurated 905
school graduates. President Soeharto is expected to swear in the
graduates today.
Some school students who visited the three people yesterday
were tight-lipped about the incident, saying the case was being
handled by the school organizers.
Supiansuri said the brawl pit a score of graduates and their
juniors who appeared to attempt revenge for their abusive
behavior during school days. Headmaster I.G.K. Manila denied that
a brawl had taken place, saying the three people were receiving
medical treatment for a "common illness". (amd)
