Jakarta (ANTARA) – For some people, mudik is an annual routine journey, but for others, this trip holds simple hopes of arriving safely, without worry, and reuniting with family.

In 2026, the Mudik Gratis Bersama BUMN programme, initiated by the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) together with Danantara, returns to facilitate the public. Nationally, the programme serves 116,688 mudik participants heading to various regions across Indonesia.

As part of the programme, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) participates by sending off 564 mudik participants for the community and particularly PNM customers.

Among the hundreds of participants, there is the story of Ibu Eka Warni, a PNM Mekaar customer from Tangerang. For Ibu Eka, the mudik journey is not just about going home, but also about keeping herself strong throughout the trip. She lives with the autoimmune condition Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), which makes long journeys, especially by private vehicle like a motorbike, difficult and full of considerations.

The desire to mudik has long been cherished by her. The last time she returned to her hometown was two years ago. Day to day, Ibu Eka runs a home-based business. From this simple business, she not only helps the family economy but also involves her neighbours around her.

“I am so grateful to be able to join the free mudik with PNM. Alhamdulillah, we could mudik safely and comfortably. I am also grateful to be able to run a business and increase my income thanks to PNM’s guidance, and then get free mudik. This year’s Ramadan has been truly blessed for me,” said Ibu Eka.

For PNM, the mudik journey is not just about mobility, but also about bringing comfort to customers who have struggled throughout the year.

PNM’s Company Secretary Dodot Patria Ary stated that this programme is part of PNM’s commitment to providing broader services to the community.

“The Mudik Gratis Bersama PNM programme is our service to the community, especially our customers, so they can undertake the mudik journey more safely, comfortably, and safely to meet their families in their hometowns. Behind every journey, there is a story of struggle that wants to reunite with family. Therefore, we want to ensure this journey can be undertaken more peacefully, with mutual care, until they arrive safely at their destination,” Dodot explained.

Through this programme, PNM not only provides the journey but also ensures every step home feels lighter. Behind every bus seat, there is a story of longing to be fulfilled, families waiting, and hopes brought closer.
