Stork wins RI orders
AMSTERDAM (Reuter): Industrial systems and services group Stork NV said it had signed memoranda of understanding for five projects in Indonesia.
These orders, the details of which have to be negotiated, have total value of almost 500 million guilders, the company said.
Stork is a member of a major Dutch trade mission, currently visiting Indonesia.
The projects include transferring two steel blast-furnaces from the Netherlands and rebuilding them in Indonesia for Gunawan Iron Steel Indonesia.
These units are currently owned by steel and aluminum maker Hoogovens, which will supply technical know-how to the Indonesian steel maker, Stork said.
The other orders include building a power plant on the island of Java, technical advice on building an oil refinery in the island of Sulawesi, supplying equipment for a slaughter house to Indonesia's Bakrie Group and building a poultry factory for PT Wahana Adi Sembada, Stork said.
