Stork wins RI orders
AMSTERDAM (Reuter): Industrial systems and services group
Stork NV said it had signed memoranda of understanding for five
projects in Indonesia.
These orders, the details of which have to be negotiated, have
total value of almost 500 million guilders, the company said.
Stork is a member of a major Dutch trade mission, currently
visiting Indonesia.
The projects include transferring two steel blast-furnaces
from the Netherlands and rebuilding them in Indonesia for Gunawan
Iron Steel Indonesia.
These units are currently owned by steel and aluminum maker
Hoogovens, which will supply technical know-how to the Indonesian
steel maker, Stork said.
The other orders include building a power plant on the island
of Java, technical advice on building an oil refinery in the
island of Sulawesi, supplying equipment for a slaughter house to
Indonesia's Bakrie Group and building a poultry factory for PT
Wahana Adi Sembada, Stork said.
