Stop pointless polemics

Allow me as a layman to express my hopes for and concerns
about this beloved country, which many fallen heroes have
defended with their last drop of blood.

I would like to call on the members of the political elite --
in the executive and the legislature -- to stop the pointless
polemics and mutual denunciations that they engage in in the
interests of their own particular groups and at the expense of
the ordinary people. We do not need political bickering. What we
do need is adequate and affordable food and clothing. We need
peace, whoever the president is. What matters most is that the
president really does his/her best to create economic stability.

Let me make this appeal to my fellow countrymen: Please
refrain from participating in any action that will only benefit a
particular group while the ordinary people are left to bear the
brunt of the consequences.
