Stop operating old buses

From Merdeka

On June 5, 1994, I took a PPD No. 46 bus from Grogol to Kampung Rambutan station. The bus was very crowded. When it was about to reach the Pancoran area all of a sudden its engine failed. Naturally, all the passengers started grumbling and complaining.

Some of the passengers reluctantly helped push the bus as the driver tried hard to start the engine, but to no avail.

Luckily a derrick-car was available to drag the bus at a snail's pace to Kampung Rambutan station.

Having experienced this sickening thing I appeal to the company concerned to stop operating old buses because it not only causes a nuisance to other road users but it could be dangerous as well.
