Stop advertising condoms on TV
Stop advertising condoms on TV
From Pelita
As a housewife, I do not agree with advertising condoms on television, particularly one commercial showing women in a red- light district as potential condom users.
I wonder why condoms are being intensively advertised on TV. Condom producers obviously advertise to boost sales.
Rather than showing the use of condoms in a red-light district, it would be better to present a religious figure or a venereal disease specialist and let him/her give advise on this matter.
I'm saddened to see one commercial for condoms with an artist promoting condoms. I lack any affinity toward him because he chooses to sing along with condoms rather than caution against promiscuous sex through religious teachings.
As we all do not want to see the young generation practice promiscuousness with the use of condoms, the best way is to stop airing commercials about this contraceptive.
