Stone war
Stone war
From Neraca
I was driving my car on Sunday afternoon on my way to Pasaraya
on Jl. Sultan Agung in South Jakarta. When I passed Manggarai
Station, I felt that the situation was very quiet and tense
because there were only a few people standing at the roadside.
This frightened me a bit.
I slowed and saw stones scattered all over the road. Upon
inquiring, I was told neighboring groups were throwing stones at
each other. According to my informant the stone throwing is
common in this particular area. Many people are injured each
time. It seems a workable solution to the violence has not been
found.
Shouldn't concrete steps be taken to stop this violence?
Please, police, do something about it!
