JAKARTA - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that the national fuel oil stocks are assured to be secure amid global turbulence. Bahlil mentioned that stocks of petrol and diesel in Indonesia are above standard. “It’s safe. I convey to the public that, insha Allah, our stocks are above the minimum standard, whether diesel, petrol, or LPG; insha Allah, it’s safe,” said Bahlil at the Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026). Bahlil conveyed that, on the instructions of President Prabowo Subianto, the prices of subsidised fuels are assured not to rise until the end of 2026. “Subsidised fuel prices will not be raised until the end of the year; insha Allah, forever,” he said. Bahlil explained that the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) is not more than $77 per barrel. He claimed that even if the price breaks $100 per barrel, it would still not disrupt the state budget. “So, we’ve only split $7. So, don’t let anyone think where our money comes from? We’ve only risen $7 up to now, as I’m speaking,” he added.
