Stock Market Performance Moves Dynamically in Recent Week, JCI Closes at 6,441

PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) recorded dynamic stock trading data over the past week, covering the period of 14-18 September 2026. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed at the 6,441 level.

“The JCI experienced a change of 1.53 per cent, closing at the level of 6,441.159 from the position of 6,541.377 in the previous week,” the BEI stated in an official release, as reported on Sunday (20/9/2026).

In addition to the JCI, the market capitalisation of the BEI also recorded changes. The BEI noted that during the period of 14-18 September 2026, market capitalisation decreased by 1.58 per cent to Rp 11,266 trillion from the position of Rp 11,446 trillion last week.

“The average daily transaction value changed by 6.95 per cent to Rp 15.22 trillion from Rp 16.36 trillion in the previous week,” it explained.

Furthermore, the average daily transaction frequency decreased by 14.73 per cent to 1.89 million transactions from 2.22 million transactions last week. Meanwhile, the average daily transaction volume of the BEI decreased by 20.71 per cent to 28.61 billion shares from 36.09 billion shares in the previous week.

“As for foreign investors, at the end of trading this week, they recorded a net sell value of Rp 1.79 trillion, and throughout 2026, foreign investors have recorded a net sell value of Rp 74.36 trillion,” the exchange clarified.
