JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) has begun implementing the Liquidity Provider (LP) programme for stocks. This aims to increase liquidity and trading efficiency in the capital market.

The programme was marked by the initial quotation provided by Phintraco Sekuritas on Monday (20/4/2026).

A Liquidity Provider is a party, typically an exchange member or securities company, tasked with continuously providing buy (bid) and sell (offer) quotes for specific stocks, thereby maintaining liquidity availability in the market.

In the initial stage, Phintraco Sekuritas is providing quotes for five stocks, namely PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM), PT Trans Power Marine Tbk (TPMA), PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (TUGU), and PT Wintermar Offshore Marine Tbk (WINS).

BEI Director of Trading and Exchange Member Regulation, Irvan Susandy, stated that the implementation of the stock LP is expected to drive increased liquidity, particularly for stocks with potential for more optimal development.

“BEI appreciates Phintraco Sekuritas’s commitment to supporting the Stock Liquidity Provider programme,” he said in an official statement on Monday.

Going forward, BEI will conduct ongoing evaluations and prepare various incentives to enhance exchange member participation. This step is part of the strategy to strengthen market structure while increasing the attractiveness of Indonesia’s capital market at both regional and global levels.
