STIQ Ar-Rahman Strengthens International Network, Explores Cooperation with IUA Sudan
Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur’an (STIQ) Ar-Rahman Indonesia received an official visit from the Rector of the International University of Africa (IUA) Sudan, Sheikh Prof Hatim Utsman Muhammad Khoir, on Tuesday (4/8/2026).
The visit served as an important moment to strengthen ties and institutional relations as well as academic cooperation between STIQ Ar-Rahman Indonesia and the International University of Africa, Sudan.
In his welcoming remarks, the Chairman of STIQ Ar-Rahman, Dr Haris Renaldi, said that the presence of the IUA Sudan Rector at the Tadabbur Quran Campus was an honour and a great joy for the entire STIQ Ar-Rahman community.
“Ahlan wa sahlan wa marhaban bikum. The presence of the Rector of the International University of Africa among us is an honour and a great joy for the STIQ Ar-Rahman family,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (5/8/2026).
On that occasion, STIQ Ar-Rahman also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the International University of Africa for approving STIQ Ar-Rahman’s affiliation as an International Affiliated Institution.
The approval was established through a Decision of the IUA Scientific Council. The decision ratified STIQ Ar-Rahman as an international academic institution affiliated with IUA and opened opportunities for cooperation in academic, scientific, research, capacity building, and institutional strengthening fields.
The decision also approved the development and implementation of Joint Degree and Double Degree programmes between the International University of Africa and STIQ Ar-Rahman, while adhering to academic provisions, laws and regulations, as well as licensing requirements applicable in Indonesia and Sudan.
STIQ Ar-Rahman views the affiliation as a form of trust as well as a great mandate. This cooperation is expected to become a solid foundation for improving the quality of education, expanding international networks, developing joint research, and strengthening the contribution of both institutions in serving knowledge, the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the Muslim community.
This official visit is also expected to be a strategic step towards the implementation of various joint programmes that benefit students, lecturers, researchers, and the wider community.
