Still Under Selection: Danantara to Announce DSI Senior Officials' Names Next Week
Dony Oskaria, Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Indonesia, stated that his team is currently conducting a rigorous selection process for human resources to join PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI). “We are also conducting a rigorous selection process for human resources who will join Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia,” he said during a press conference on Sunday, 31 May 2026. Dony added that the names would be announced next week, with Luke Thomas Mahony confirmed as the Managing Director of DSI. “Insha’Allah, hopefully next week several more names will be announced by Danantara as part of the team,” he added.
Previously, CEO of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, confirmed Luke Thomas Mahony’s appointment as Managing Director of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI), a new government body established to manage commodity exports. Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and CEO of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, stated that Luke Thomas Mahony will lead PT DSI. “For now, it’s Luke Thomas,” he told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
He cited Luke’s track record as a key consideration for his appointment. “We consider many factors; it’s not just about his track record,” he said. Rosan highlighted Luke’s strong experience in mineral and trading sectors, including leadership roles in several mineral companies, as well as his strong network and exceptional performance at Danantara Indonesia. “The most important factors are his trading and mineral expertise, leadership in multiple mineral companies, good network, and his excellent performance at Danantara,” he added. According to Rosan, Luke’s experience at multinational companies, including PT Vale Indonesia, also contributed to the appointment, and he confirmed Luke understands Indonesian.
