Still Defiant! Street Vendors on Pakansari Pavements Raided by Bogor Satpol PP
The Bogor Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) has raided a number of street vendors (PKL) around Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong. The action follows a meeting with the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) to bring order to the area.
“We are carrying out routine enforcement. The meeting at Dispora covered the arrangement of the Pakansari route and parking. So last night I carried out an operation against street vendors around Pakansari,” said Rhama Kodara, Head of Public Order at Bogor Regency Satpol PP, on Thursday (13/8/2026).
The operation was conducted on Wednesday (12/8) evening. Rhama said the vendors who were rounded up would temporarily be placed at a single location so they are better organised.
“For the time being, the vendors are placed near the mango tree, gathered there temporarily. We directed them all there so it is tidy, and no one is on the red soil area,” he explained.
Meanwhile, a number of defiant vendors continue to sell on the pavements. As a result, pedestrian activity is disrupted.
Rhama explained that vendors selling on pavements often play cat-and-mouse with officers. When officers patrol, they hide. Once the officers are gone, they return.
“On the red soil area, there were about three that I moved. But the coffee sellers on the pavement sometimes hide when there are no officers around,” he said.
His team continues to conduct patrols to prevent illegal vendors from reappearing. Patrols are carried out in two alternating shifts from morning until night.
“From 4.00 pm until midnight, the second shift remains on patrol, while the first shift runs from morning until 3.00 pm. We keep patrolling. Last night I was out checking,” he concluded.
