From Surabaya Post

We have become very familiar with stickers recently, distributed freely by producers, hotels, tourist resorts and entertainment centers. The election contenders are the latest to hop on the bandwagon.

Stickers have been plastered on cars and buildings. Car and building owners have retained the right to reject the stickers.

The stickers usually promote business products. Other stickers carry messages such as No fund collecting service here, No job vacancies, or Don't kiss me.

But of more recent interest to the people are the SEA Games stickers. These stickers are sold on the pretext of funds shortage. It is true that the Sea Games are tied up with public interest. As they are held in the interest of the public, the financial costs related to these events should be budgeted by the government and the regional administration.

In this way, the government would be better prepared to deal with public events.

Forced sticker sales are like instant levies which are a nuisance to many parties.
