CIREBON – The one-way traffic engineering for the Eid al-Fitr return flow will be implemented from KM 263 of the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road today, Monday (23/3/2026). This is in line with instructions from the National Police Traffic Corps for the smooth return flow of Eid, which is increasing today. As a preparatory step for the one-way implementation, officers began cleaning the route (sterilisation) at 14:00 WIB, with the implementation time at the discretion of the police. “The implementation of this traffic engineering remains situational, adjusted to the discretion of the police on the ground,” said Ardam. Ardam mentioned that based on data from 00:00 to 13:00 WIB today, traffic flow towards Jakarta was monitored to have increased significantly with busy but smooth conditions. Approximately 23,000 vehicles have passed Cikopo towards Jakarta. “This number is 139 percent higher than the same period yesterday,” he said. Meanwhile, the flow towards Cirebon was observed to be easing with around 21,000 vehicles. That figure is 33 percent lower than the previous day. “Overall, the total traffic volume on the Cipali toll road this afternoon has increased by around six percent compared to the same period yesterday,” he explained. To maintain smooth traffic flow and collective safety, Astra Tol Cipali urges all road users not to stop on the road shoulder, except in emergencies. “Road users are advised to rest at the nearest rest area or utilise rest facilities outside the nearest toll gate if parking capacity is full, with the assurance of the same toll fare (accumulated per kilometre),” he said.
