Stella Believes Graduates of Garuda School Will Become Future Nobel Laureates

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Wamendikti Saintek) Stella Christie revealed that those accepted into SMA Garuda come from the economic decile 4 bracket but possess an average academic score of 88. Stella is confident that SMA Garuda will produce figures who will win the Nobel Prize in the future. “So, we will build it like our prospective national team members; we will not only get gold medals in badminton, but also Nobel laureates from Indonesia at some point. This is what is being built by the Garuda School,” said Stella at the Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/5/2026). She emphasised that every investment must be calculated to determine whether it truly benefits the people or not. “We never hesitate to build the best stadium for our prospective national football team. To pay for expensive coaches for our prospective national team,” she explained.
