Universitas Indonesia (UI) has received an Internal Memo on the Follow-up Plan for Examination (RTLP) from the UI Task Force on Prevention and Handling of Violence (Satgas PPK) regarding the sexual harassment case within the Faculty of Law (FH) UI on Wednesday (15/4/2026). In the memo, Satgas PPK UI officially recommends the temporary suspension of student status for the 16 reported students.

UI’s Director of Public Relations, Media, Government, and International Affairs, Erwin Agustian Panigoro, stated that the recommendation is part of the follow-up steps to ensure the examination process runs optimally, objectively, and fairly.

According to him, UI has also followed up on the recommendation by establishing a temporary academic deactivation for the 16 suspected students during the period from 15 April to 30 May 2026.

“This step is taken as part of the university’s commitment to ensure the examination process runs objectively, protect all involved parties, and maintain a conducive academic environment,” he said in his statement on Wednesday.

He assessed that the policy is a preventive administrative step taken to safeguard the integrity of the examination process. In addition, the campus also aims to protect all involved parties.
