State Secretary urges making Eid al-Fitr a moment for unity

Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has urged the public to make the Eid al-Fitr holiday a source of motivation to work harder and bolster unity in achieving shared objectives. “We all return to being fitri. Let us in the future make this Eid al-Fitr and Lebaran moment a spirit for us to work even harder, united in achieving our common goals,” said Prasetyo Hadi after accompanying President Prabowo in performing Eid al-Fitr prayers for 1447 Hijriah at Masjid Darussalam in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, on Saturday. The State Secretary also accompanied President Prabowo during the takbiran night in North Sumatra on Friday (20/3) afternoon, before proceeding to Aceh Tamiang to perform Eid prayers at Masjid Darussalam. In addition to the worship, President Prabowo took the time to shake hands with worshippers after the Eid prayers and visited one of the temporary housing units for survivors of flash flood disasters in the area. Regarding the next agenda, Prasetyo Hadi stated that President Prabowo will hold an open house in Jakarta to receive greetings from the general public during the Lebaran moment. “So, after Aceh Tamiang, the President plans to return to Jakarta. And this afternoon towards evening, he plans to hold an open house for the general public,” said Prasetyo. The open house agenda is planned to take place at the State Palace as part of the halal bihalal tradition open to the public.
