State Secretary Says Presidential Decree on New Junior Attorney General Expected This Week

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has proposed the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency, Kuntadi, to serve as the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. Kuntadi is set to replace Febrie Adriansyah, who resigned after becoming entangled in three alleged corruption cases. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the process is expected to be completed this week. “God willing, we will finalise the process this week,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Nusantara III Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (20/7/2026). Prasetyo emphasised that the Presidential Decree regarding this matter will be completed shortly. “Yes, later this week. If it is completed within the next few days, there will certainly be a presidential decree, and we will convey it to the public,” Prasetyo said.
