State Secretary Receives Aspirations from Central Java Student Executive Body as Input for Government

Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has accepted aspirations presented by the Central Java Student Executive Body (BEM SI) regarding economic issues, treating them as valuable input for the government. He stated that in recent days, the government has been working hard and in close cooperation to overcome the nation’s economic problems.

“We are confident that the steps we are taking, through close and intensive coordination and policies that reinforce one another, will be effective,” said Prasetyo after attending a coordination meeting on export governance at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday.

He did not deny that current economic issues are not easy to resolve, as they are influenced by various factors. Furthermore, he noted that not all problems can be resolved within a specific timeframe. However, he ensured that the government is making efforts to handle these issues, one of which is by providing certainty to business actors regarding the natural resource export governance policies announced this Monday.

“Be assured that the spirit expressed by these students (BEM SI) is for all of us, regarding how we must work hard, especially in the economic sector,” said Prasetyo.

Previously, BEM SI in Central Java had requested that the government address the issues surrounding the Rupiah exchange rate to ensure its strengthening. As is widely known, the Rupiah has recently weakened against the US Dollar, reaching a rate of Rp18,000 per US Dollar.
