State Secretary: Prabowo Accepts Resignation of BI Governor Perry Warjiyo

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced that President Prabowo Subianto has accepted the resignation letter of Perry Warjiyo from his position as governor of Bank Indonesia (BI). The announcement was made by Prasetyo Hadi during a press statement at the BI Building, Central Jakarta, on Monday (27/7/2026).

“As of yesterday, we officially received the resignation letter from the governor of Bank Indonesia addressed to the president, and in accordance with the applicable legislative mechanisms, particularly referring to the Bank Indonesia Law, the president has accepted the resignation of Mr Perry Warjiyo,” said Prasetyo.

According to him, Prabowo expressed his utmost gratitude and highest appreciation for Perry’s dedication during his seven years leading BI. Going forward, BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti will serve as the governor of BI.
