State Secretary: Pertamina Will Not Adjust Fuel Prices Yet
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has conveyed a government statement regarding the circulating public rumours about plans to adjust or increase fuel (BBM) prices. The statement was delivered by Prasetyo through a press release received on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
“Therefore, we need to convey that after coordination in this matter between the government and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources together with Pertamina, and under the guidance from the President. The President always prioritises the interests of the people and society in making decisions,” he said.
“For that reason, Pertamina has stated that it will not adjust prices for either subsidised BBM or non-subsidised BBM,” continued the politician from the Great Indonesia Movement Party.
Prasetyo hopes that with this statement, the public can obtain clearer and more accurate information.
“And we hope the public does not need to panic or worry because the availability of BBM is guaranteed by us. We guarantee it. And there will be no price adjustments,” Prasetyo stated.
“That is what we can convey. Once again, happy activities to all Indonesian people. Thank you. Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. End.”
