The government has confirmed that the planned implementation of a work from home (WFH) scheme for one day per week will not apply to all work sectors. State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi stated that this policy applies to specific fields that allow for remote work. He mentioned that the policy regarding WFH for one day per week is still being formulated. “We are currently refining it to finalise and will convey it to the public as soon as possible,” he said. According to Prasetyo, this plan is a directive from the President during the full plenary cabinet meeting as an effort to promote efficiency in the work environment, including in the government sector. “As conveyed by the President during the full plenary cabinet meeting, we are formulating several policies in order to realise that we all must collectively make ourselves more efficient in working,” Prasetyo said. “It does not mean there is a problem with fuel supply. As we have continuously stated, insyaallah the fuel supply has no issues; the fuel supply is secure,” he added. Furthermore, he noted that this policy presents an opportunity for the government to evaluate and improve the work system to make it more effective and efficient. “Regarding what was mentioned earlier, that is one form, perhaps work from home will be implemented at least one day in a week,” he said.
