State Secretary: No Plans for Reshuffle Yet, Prabowo Evaluates Ministers Daily

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has addressed rumours regarding a potential reshuffle of the Merah Putih Cabinet ministers. He affirmed that, as of now, there are no plans for a cabinet reshuffle by President Prabowo Subianto. “Not yet,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 8 April 2026. Nevertheless, Prasetyo explained that President Prabowo consistently evaluates the performance of all Merah Putih Cabinet ministers on a daily basis. These evaluations, he said, encompass the ministers’ ability to carry out tasks assigned by President Prabowo. “If the question is whether there is an evaluation of the cabinet’s performance, the cabinet’s ranks, certainly. It happens at all times, every day, every moment. The evaluation in the context of whether we, as the President’s aides, have been able to carry out the tasks from him,” he stated. However, he noted that this evaluation does not inevitably result in a reshuffle of ministers. “But that does not mean that every evaluation will always lead to a change or reshuffle. It is not like that,” Prasetyo concluded.
