State Secretary Minister Speaks on Prabowo's Son Visiting Jokowi in Solo
The Presidential Palace has spoken out regarding the visit of President Prabowo Subianto’s son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo, known as Didit, to the residence of former president Joko Widodo in Solo, Central Java. Didit Prabowo visited Jokowi’s home on Thursday, 18 June 2026. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the visit was made in the context of a silaturahmi (friendship visit) for the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah. The Islamic new year is commemorated on 1 Muharam, which fell on 16 June 2026. According to Prasetyo, Didit happened to be in Solo and visited Jokowi. “It was a coincidence because he was in Solo, due to 1 Muharam yesterday, so it was a silaturahmi,” said the Gerindra Party politician in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Friday, 19 June 2026. Prasetyo claimed President Prabowo did not entrust any message for Jokowi to his son. “There was none,” said the former member of the House of Representatives. Didit visited Jokowi’s home in Solo on Thursday. Didit conveyed that he was in Solo to attend the Malam 1 Suro event at Mangkunegaran. He then visited Jokowi’s house in the same city afterwards. The 1 Suro commemoration at the Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace took place from Tuesday evening, 16 June 2026, until the early hours of Wednesday, 17 June 2026. From Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, the palace area became busy with the arrival of relatives, courtiers (abdi dalem), and royal kin (sentana dalem) to participate in the series of celebrations. Activities were centred around the Sasana Sewaka and the core area of the palace. The Malam 1 Suro commemoration and procession is an annual tradition rich in spiritual and cultural values within the Surakarta Palace environment. This tradition is also part of the cultural duties in welcoming the Javanese new year, which coincides with 1 Muharam.
