Jakarta — The Defence Ministry held a Coordination Meeting on Oversight of President Prabowo Subianto’s Priority Programmes at the Defence Ministry on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi led the coordination meeting.

According to Kompas.com’s monitoring, the meeting commenced at 10:09 Western Indonesia Time following the arrival of several Red and White Cabinet ministers at the venue.

The meeting was opened by Deputy Defence Minister (Wamenhan RI) Donny Ermawan Taufanto.

“On behalf of the Defence Minister, who was unable to attend due to previously scheduled activities outside the region, I extend our apologies. On this auspicious occasion, we will continue the meeting regarding the President’s orders issued on 8 March at the military base,” said Donny on Tuesday.

Donny stated that this meeting was a follow-up session. The previous week, his office had already conducted a preliminary meeting regarding President Prabowo’s guidance and orders. Therefore, the meeting was being continued this week to enable swift decision-making.

“So on this beneficial occasion, we can reach a decision, because what the President expects must be implemented immediately and the available timeframe is very short, which is why we must promptly formulate a decision for immediate implementation,” he said.

“Without further ado, we shall immediately hand over to the State Secretary to chair this meeting,” he added.

Also attending the meeting were Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Basic and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Muti, Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian.
