State Secretary: Appointment of New Jampidsus in Final Stage
State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi has stated that the process of appointing a replacement for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, has entered its final stage and the presidential decree regarding the new appointment is expected to be signed soon. Prasetyo explained that the Attorney General had previously sent a letter to President Prabowo Subianto containing a proposed name for the replacement after the previous official tendered his resignation. “As we conveyed a few days ago, the Attorney General has officially sent a letter to the President regarding the proposed replacement for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, who submitted his resignation some time ago,” Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday. According to him, the proposal has been processed in accordance with the applicable mechanism through the Final Assessment Team (TPA). “We can convey that it has been processed according to the mechanism through what is termed the TPA, the Final Assessment Team, and God willing, it will be completed in the next few days. The Presidential Decree regarding the replacement will be signed later,” he stated. However, Prasetyo has not yet disclosed the identity of the candidate who will fill the Jampidsus position and asked the public to wait until the presidential decree is issued. With the completion of the process at the TPA, the government has ensured that the filling of the Jampidsus position will be carried out in accordance with the applicable mechanism before being formalised through a presidential decree.
