State Secretary and Cabinet Secretary Inspect Partial Rehearsal for Independence Day Ceremony at Palace

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya inspected a partial rehearsal for the 81st Independence Day ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (11/8/2026). The rehearsal saw TNI, Polri, and Paskibraka troops practising formations on the palace grounds, while protocol officials and presidential security forces coordinated the event’s layout. A white stage has been erected in front of the palace, featuring a screen displaying an illustration of President Prabowo alongside a quote reading, ‘We are a great nation. A nation united in diversity,’ with the 81st Independence Day logo. Prasetyo stated that due to high public enthusiasm, an additional 3,400 invitations have been allocated for citizens, bringing the total number of public attendees to be divided between the morning and afternoon ceremonies.
