Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa reported that state revenue collected amounted to Rp574.9 trillion and state expenditure was absorbed at Rp815 trillion, resulting in an Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN) deficit of Rp240.1 trillion or 0.93 percent of GDP as of 31 March 2026.

“The deficit reached Rp240.1 trillion or 0.93 percent of GDP,” said Purbaya during the APBN KiTa press conference Edition April 2026 at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

In detail, the realisation of state revenue is equivalent to 18.2 percent of the APBN target with a growth of 10.5 percent (year-on-year/yoy).

Tax revenue was recorded at Rp462.7 trillion (17.2 percent of APBN) or grew 14.2 percent (yoy). This amount consists of tax receipts of Rp394.8 trillion (16.7 percent of APBN) or grew 20.7 percent (yoy) as well as customs and excise receipts of Rp67.9 trillion (20.2 percent of APBN) or contracted by 12.6 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, non-tax state revenue (PNBP) was collected at Rp112.1 trillion or 24.4 percent of APBN. The Ministry of Finance noted that PNBP performance continues to contribute well to the structure of state revenue despite experiencing normalisation compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, the absorption of state expenditure as of 31 March 2026 is equivalent to 21.2 percent of APBN with a growth of 31.4 percent (yoy).

“This is higher compared to last year which grew 1.4 percent (yoy). This is what I call the even distribution of expenditure throughout the year,” said the Finance Minister.

The details show that ministry/institution (K/L) expenditure was recorded at Rp281.2 trillion (18.6 percent of APBN) with a growth of 43.3 percent (yoy), while non-K/L expenditure amounted to Rp329.1 trillion (20.1 percent of APBN) or grew 51.5 percent (yoy).

The realisation of regional transfers (TKD) was recorded at Rp204.8 trillion (29.5 percent of APBN) or contracted by 1.1 percent (yoy).

With this performance, the primary balance also experienced a deficit at the position of Rp95.8 trillion.
