State Palace Has Not Discussed Sudaryono's Replacement at Agriculture Ministry

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has stated that the government has not yet held discussions regarding a replacement for Sudaryono as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. Sudaryono was appointed as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), replacing Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, who resigned citing health reasons. “Regarding the Deputy Minister of Agriculture position, it has not been discussed yet. It has only been one day,” Prasetyo said at the DPR, MPR, and DPD Complex on Thursday, 23 July 2026. Nanik Sudaryati Deyang announced her resignation via her Facebook account, explaining she needed to focus on heart treatment. In her post, she expressed gratitude for having assisted President Prabowo with the free nutritious meal programme after supporting him for fourteen years. “Fourteen years with him, I know for certain the MBG programme is not for political purposes as some have accused,” she wrote on Wednesday, 22 July 2026. She also hinted at her successor, describing the individual as someone close to her whom she considers a younger sibling. “I can pull his ear if anything goes astray,” she remarked. Prasetyo previously stated that Sudaryono would not hold concurrent positions and would leave his post at the Agriculture Ministry to focus on his duties at BGN.
